Review Policy
This page explains how DepthFidelity evaluates VR headsets and maintains editorial independence. It is maintained by Steve from DepthFidelity and may be updated as the process evolves.
Independence
My reviews and ratings are written independently. Manufacturers do not pay for favorable coverage, and I do not allow advertisers to influence review conclusions. Editorial decisions are made by the DepthFidelity alone.
How I obtain products
Headsets are either purchased outright, provided on loan by the manufacturer, given by the manufacturer, or sourced through retail channels. The method of acquisition is noted in a review when it may affect the context of my findings. I treat every unit the same way regardless of how it was obtained.
Testing methodology
I evaluate headsets across the categories that matter most to VR sim-racing: display clarity, field of view, comfort over long sessions, tracking stability, audio quality, and setup friction. Scores reflect real-world use on commonly played titles and racing platforms, not synthetic benchmarks alone.
Affiliate links
Some articles include affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, DepthFidelity may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not affect which products I cover or how I score them. My full affiliate disclosure appears in the site footer.
Updates and corrections
Reviews may be updated when a headset receives significant firmware changes, price shifts, or competing releases that change the recommendation. Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed. You can report an error or outdated claim by contacting us through the site.
